Privacy policy
How DocGini collects, uses and protects your health information.
1. Who we are
DocGini is a healthcare booking and record-keeping platform operated by MEDCONS, The Mentor Development Consultants (Private) Limited, based in Swat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. This policy applies to docgini.com, our provider portal and every mobile client we publish.
2. What we collect
We only collect information we need to run the service you signed up for.
- Account details: name, phone, email, CNIC, gender and date of birth.
- Health information: appointments, prescriptions, lab tests, vitals, allergies and any notes your doctor records during a consultation.
- Location: the province, district, city and area you enter, so we can match you with nearby doctors, hospitals and home-visit providers.
- Payment metadata: the amount, date and method for any charge; we do not store card numbers or full bank details.
- Technical logs: device type, browser, IP address and pages visited, used to keep the service secure and to fix bugs.
3. How we use your information
- To book appointments and confirm them by email and SMS.
- To let doctors, staff and authorised carers see the records they need to treat you.
- To send transactional messages such as OTP codes, booking reminders, prescription refills and password resets.
- To keep the platform safe: detect fraud, prevent abuse and defend against attacks.
- To improve the service: measure how features are used and where users get stuck. Analytics use aggregated data, not your name.
4. Who can see your data
- Your treating doctor and their staff: only for as long as you remain their patient.
- Other doctors you visit: can view prior consultations and prescriptions, but only prescribing doctors can edit their own records.
- MEDCONS support staff: for troubleshooting, under strict access controls.
- Regulators and law enforcement: only when compelled by a valid legal order under Pakistani law.
We never sell your health data to advertisers, insurers or third-party marketers.
5. Where your data is stored
Health data is hosted on servers physically located in Pakistan, backed up daily and encrypted in transit and at rest. Only vetted engineers can access the underlying database, and every access is logged.
6. Your rights
- See what we hold: request an export of your records at any time.
- Correct or update: edit your profile, or ask your doctor to correct a clinical note.
- Delete your account: write to us and we will remove or anonymise your personal profile within 30 days. Clinical records may be retained for the period required by Pakistani medical-record law.
- Opt out of non-essential mail: every marketing email carries an unsubscribe link.
7. Cookies
We use a small number of first-party cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. No third-party ad-tracking cookies are set. You can disable cookies in your browser, but signing in will not work without them.
8. Children
DocGini is for people aged 13 and above. Parents and guardians may register a child under 13 and manage their bookings under the parent's own account.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes are announced by email to registered users and posted here at least seven days before they take effect, so please review this page from time to time.
10. Contact us
Questions about this policy or your data can be sent to support@docgini.com or via the contact page.
